Description
Americas love affair with almonds is such that not even peanuts can compete anymore. A member of the rose family, the almond is botanically related to peaches, plums, apricots and cherries. Almonds are California’s largest tree nut crop in total dollar value and acreage. They rank as the seventh largest U.S. food export. The nut has been linked to improved heart health, weight management, and even longer life-spans, among other things.
